🎯 Session Review

Tech carried the day on Tuesday. The Nasdaq jumped 1.18% to 26,477.81, the S&P 500 added 0.60% to 7,722.60, and the Dow barely moved, up 0.04% to 52,377.57. Blame that last one on Boeing (BA), which sank 10.70% and weighed on the price-weighted blue-chip index.

The AI trade got fresh fuel from Oracle, which expanded its cloud chip deal with Nvidia (NVDA) while adding offerings from Alphabet's Google (GOOGL) and Cerebras Systems (CBRS). Cerebras climbed 10.10% to $119.31, a nice reward for landing a seat at one of the biggest cloud tables in tech.

The macro backdrop helped too. The Conference Board's consumer confidence index rose to 91.7 in October from 84.2, well above expectations of 81. Happier consumers plus a parade of solid earnings gave buyers plenty of reasons to stick around.

🚀 Key Catalysts

Earnings did the heavy lifting outside of tech. Coca-Cola (KO) raised its annual profit forecast on strength in zero-sugar sodas and premium drinks like fairlife milk. S&P Global (SPGI) lifted its full-year outlook after third-quarter earnings rose to $4.25 a share from $3.86 a year ago.

Freeport-McMoRan (FCX) beat third-quarter estimates as higher metal prices offset rising costs and lower gold sales, extending the mining sector's earnings run. Royal Caribbean (RCL) eased fears that surging oil prices would sink cruise operators. Boeing was the sore spot, posting a 26-cent loss as commercial airplane problems offset stronger margins elsewhere.

Elsewhere, Intel (INTC) agreed to buy quantum software firm Classiq for about $2.3 billion, per Bloomberg, and quantum name Infleqtion (INFQ) rose 12.91%. Rocket Lab (RKLB) gained 8.34% and SoFi (SOFI) jumped 13.42%, while Innodata (INOD) tumbled 25.32% and Xylem (XYL) slid 14.28%.

Forget Picking the Winning AI Stock. Get Paid Every Thursday Instead.

Nvidia? Palantir? CrowdStrike? Why try to guess the winner? One $38 fund gives you exposure to dozens of leading AI stocks...and distributes income every Thursday. That could mean up to $1,051 a month.

🎭 Investor Mood

Investor Pulse: Picky Optimism
The vibe today was selective confidence rather than a broad party. Investors rewarded companies that raised guidance or showed pricing power, and punished execution stumbles without much mercy. Boeing's double-digit drop shows patience for production problems is running thin.

Consumers seem to agree the picture is brightening. The confidence jump to 91.7 arrived alongside Case-Shiller data showing home prices up 2.1% over the 12 months through August, faster than July's 1.9% pace. Rising home values tend to make households feel wealthier, which can support spending.

Still, nobody is ignoring the bond market. The 10-year Treasury yield ticked up to 4.99%, flirting with the 5% line, and the 30-year sits at 5.30%. Stocks are climbing anyway, but that rate backdrop keeps a lid on how loose investors are willing to get.

🔍 5 Focus Points for Tomorrow

📈 Boeing (BA) follow-through: watch whether the 10.70% drop on commercial airplane problems stabilizes or keeps weighing on the Dow.
📋 Earnings momentum: Coca-Cola, S&P Global and Freeport all raised or beat, so watch whether guidance hikes keep driving individual stock moves.
🤖 AI chip competition: Oracle adding Google and Cerebras alongside Nvidia puts the spotlight on CBRS and the broader chip supply chain.
🏛️ Rates check: the 10-year Treasury at 4.99% is knocking on 5%, and a break above could pressure growth stocks.
🤖 Quantum and crypto themes: Intel's reported Classiq deal and the Ripple and Robinhood RLUSD partnership show emerging tech still attracting big money.

The Only 5 Stocks That Matter

Keith Kaplan has invested $17 million into his own AI research and tools. He's built a platform that 180,000 people worldwide use in the stock market. NowForget complex charts and guesswork. Keith Kaplan's firm TradeSmith spent $17 million on AI tools and research. They've built a system that ranks every stock in the S&P 500, and narrows everything down to just five names. All you do is buy five stocks, then hold them for a month. This simple strategy could make you 1,000% on your money.

💸 Bottom Line

Tuesday's lesson: AI spending is broadening, not slowing. Oracle diversifying beyond Nvidia toward Google and Cerebras suggests the chip race is getting more crowded, which could matter for how investors value the whole supply chain. Cerebras' 10% pop shows how quickly the market rewards new contenders.

Crypto also kept inching toward the mainstream. Ripple partnered with Robinhood (HOOD) to expand use of its RLUSD digital dollar, giving institutional clients more trading and financing options. Bitcoin rose 0.83% to $80,672, while the dollar index firmed to 102.30.

Looking ahead, keep an eye on whether earnings strength keeps outrunning rate pressure. With the 10-year a hair below 5%, any push higher could test how much investors will pay for growth. For now, the Nasdaq's 1.18% gain says buyers are still willing.
